UNDER 13 GIRLS TAG RUGBY

Basis Rules:

• Knock On

If a player drops the ball, and it travels towards the oppositions try line, it is a knock on

Result / A free pass to the opposition

• Offside

If a player accidentally moves in front of the ball, ball becomes involved in play

Result / A free pass to the opposition

• Forward pass

If a player passes the ball to a team-mate, and the ball travels towards the oppositions tryline

Result / A free pass to the opposition

• Try

To score a try, a player must touch the ball down on or over the tryline, with control of ball

Result / 1 point

• Tackle / Tag

A tag is made when a player pulls the tag from an opponent, and holds it in the air and shouts “TAG”

Result / Player must pass the ball within 3 steps

Dangerous Play

If a player acts in a dangerous way, by contacting or pushing a player without control

Result / Penalty to oppositions

After a penalty has been givin, the defending team must retreat 5 meters

It is expected that all players, teachers and coaches will act in a respectful way at all times. The event organiser’s decision is final.
