Stevenage Sporting Futures

What We Do

At Stevenage Sporting Futures Team we:

  • Facilitate and deliver a number of sport and physical activity opportunities including school based delivery and competitions.
  • Run a comprehensive calendar of sporting activity for our partner schools including school based delivery, competitions, festivals and CPD training.

  • We uphold and deliver the school games values and beliefs throughout all of our work.

We arrange a full and comprehensive events calendar for all the schools within our partnership.

Commonwealth 2022

The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games (CWG) vision and mission is the following: “the 2022 CWGs will bring people together, be it those athletes from countries far and wide, or communities from across the city and region. As we prepare for this iconic celebration of sport, we embrace the Commonwealth values of humanity, equality and destiny in everything we do.”

Fit Kidz Go & Row

This academic year, Stevenage Sporting Futures have teamed up with Fit Kidz CIC to offer the Fit Kidz Go Program to all partner schools. This 4-week program encourages children to get active and set themselves individual challenges.

The FA Girls Football School Partnership

The Football Association (FA) has unveiled plans for a network of FA Girls’ Football School Partnerships across the country, in collaboration with Barclays and with the Youth Sport Trust. The Partnerships will work with families of schools at primary and secondary levels to develop girls in and through football in an educational-based setting.

KS1 Sports Mark

We have set up the SSFT Sports Mark for Key Stage 1 to enable schools to gain recognition for their excellent work at Key Stage 1 and to show the flow of PE and Sport through the school (where applicable) to the work recognised by the main School Games mark at Key Stage 2.

Targeted Teacher CPD

We are delighted to share with you a brand-new initiative from the Stevenage Sporting Futures Team. The Targeted Teacher CPD initiative is a one-off or set of specific lessons that the Stevenage Sporting Futures Team will support to upskill primary school teachers in delivering a particular sport or format.
