Stevenage Sporting Futures Team are pleased to announce that the rescheduled Dance Festival “dancing through the decades” will be hosted at Stevenage Leisure Centre on Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th February. The dance festival is an opportunity for schools to celebrate dance performances schools have been creating at the start of the 2021-2022 Academic year.
Unfortunately, due to the rising COVID cases and schools having to pull out, we have made the decision to defer the Dance Festival due to take place on the 9th and 10th February.
This has not been an easy decision to make. However, due to the nature of the event and the number of schools, visitors and other guests due to attend we have made the tough decision to defer next month’s event. We have sought advice from colleagues and peers and are also aware of the staffing issues and the lack of availability of supply cover that schools are already experiencing because of the ongoing Covid pandemic. We have decided to make this decision now to avoid any last-minute cancellation of the festival.
We are currently working with Gordon Craig to reschedule the dance festival for this summer. Please bear with us over the coming days in which we will have more information regarding the proposed rescheduled event.
We are currently also working with the Gordon Craig regarding tickets that have been sold for the 9th and 10th February. Stevenage Sporting Futures Team will be in contact with schools regarding refunds over the next few days.
