At Stevenage Sporting Futures Team we:
- Facilitate and deliver a number of sport and physical activity opportunities including school based delivery and competitions.

Run a comprehensive calendar of sporting activity for our partner schools including school based delivery, competitions, festivals and CPD training.

Uphold and deliver the school games values and beliefs throughout all of our work.
Competitions
We arrange a full and comprehensive events calendar for all the schools within our partnership.
Action Mats
This year, the Stevenage Sporting Futures Team will be offering the Action Mat programme to schools.
Children in Need Week
Each year, the Stevenage Sporting Futures Team lead fun activities during Children in Need Week to Nursery and Reception classes.
Commonwealth 2022
Looking back at The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games (CWG) where the vision and mission was the following: “the 2022 CWGs will bring people together, be it those athletes from countries far and wide, or communities from across the city and region.
DIPP’s
We work with the charity DiPPs to offer children the opportunity to learn how to use a defibrillator and basic CPR.
Dance Festival
Looking back to the 2022 Dance Festival on Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th July, Dancing through the decades!
Fit Kidz Go & Row
This academic year, Stevenage Sporting Futures have teamed up with Fit Kidz CIC to offer the Fit Kidz Go Program to all partner schools. This 4-week program encourages children to get active and set themselves individual challenges.
The FA Girls Football School Partnerships
Barclays Girls’ Football School Partnerships by England Football (BGFSPs) is a nationwide scheme that aims to mainstream football in schools for girls.
KS1 Sports Mark
We have set up the SSFT Sports Mark for Key Stage 1 to enable schools to gain recognition for their excellent work at Key Stage 1 and to show the flow of PE and Sport through the school (where applicable) to the work recognised by the main School Games mark at Key Stage 2.
School Games Mark
The School Games Mark is a government led awards scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community.
School Games Programme
The School Games is a programme designated to keep competitive sport at the heart of schools and provide more young people with the opportunity to participate and compete and achieve their personal best.
Sports Awards
Stevenage Sporting Futures Team host annual Sports Awards celebration evenings to recognise and celebrate the sporting successes across the academic year.
Student Leadership
Implementing the Stevenage Student Sports Leadership Pathway, the identification, training and deployment of students as sports leaders from Year 2 to Year 13.

Speed Stacking is an activity that is an easy activity to try in your own home! You can do this with some plastic cups, or the official speed stacking cups if you own them.
Targeted Teacher CPD
We are delighted to share with you a brand-new initiative from the Stevenage Sporting Futures Team. The Targeted Teacher CPD initiative is a one-off or set of specific lessons that the Stevenage Sporting Futures Team will support to upskill primary school teachers in delivering a particular sport or format.
